Ligament Reconstruction
Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury is a common sporting injury. Rupture of this ligament results in knee joint instability with feeling of knee slipping and giving way in sports or in daily routine in some patients. This necessitates Cruciate Ligament reconstruction surgery. This is a common, minimally invasive and arthroscopically performed procedure that replaces the torn knee ligament with a graft (typically hamstring or patellar tendon) to restore Knee Joint stability. It is performed under anesthesia and takes 1-3 hours, with a recovery period of 6-12 months including extensive physiotherapy.
